“In a clean place — there is blessing. I am proud of my profession”!

Through her honest work, Aziza Madiyarova is raising three daughters, striving to bring them up as достойные and educated individuals. Every day, from early morning, she goes to work to help keep the environment clean. She carries out her duties conscientiously and never complains about the difficulties, because it is precisely through hard work that she is able to raise her children and provide them with an education.
Unfortunately, there are still people among us who throw litter wherever they please. What saddens Aziza Madiyarova most is such an indifferent attitude toward nature and the lack of respect for the work of those who, like her, care for the cleanliness of the environment every single day.
“People throw rubbish directly onto the streets, leaving plastic bottles and tobacco-related waste right in the middle of the road. They also paste up advertisements. We remove every notice, wash the surfaces with water and clean them thoroughly. We do not complain about our work, but of course, in the cold winter days, such situations make our job a little more difficult,” Aziza says.
Unfortunately, there are also cases when beggars appear on the streets wearing the uniform of municipal improvement workers. Aziza appeals to such individuals not to dishonour those who work honestly for the cleanliness of the city.
“We do not beg, and we do not approve of begging. We feed our children through honest earnings.”
Our heroine speaks with particular warmth about the fact that many people do, after all, appreciate her difficult and noble work. When passers-by thank her for what she does, she feels even prouder of her profession.
“They say that a clean place is always blessed. Sometimes passers-by thank us, wish us long life, say that we are making the earth cleaner and pray that the Almighty may light our way. It is heartening to know that there are people who value our work,” Aziza says.
Today, Aziza places great importance on the education of her daughters. She notes that in the past there were not the same opportunities for study as there are now, whereas today all the necessary conditions are being created for people to receive an education.
“If we had had such opportunities in the past, we would have studied ourselves. Now all the conditions have been created. It was also a great support for our family that the Committee on Ecology covered my daughter’s tuition fee.”
Aziza Madiyarova is grateful for the peaceful, calm and stable life she has today. And she asks for only one thing — that people do not throw rubbish wherever they please, do not pollute the environment and respect the work of those who care for cleanliness every day.
Indeed, we often throw litter directly onto the street without thinking that it will later be cleaned up by women just like our mothers, sisters or daughters — despite the winter cold or the summer heat. That is why we should value the work of people like Aziza Madiyarova, dispose of waste only in designated places and work together to preserve the cleanliness of our environment.
