Eco-Quest activities were held across all regions of Uzbekistan, bringing together nearly 2,000 environmentally active young people.
At the Tashkent Zoo, more than 100 participants put their knowledge and problem-solving skills to the test through a series of interactive tasks. The game focused on issues related to environmental protection, care for plants, wild animals and birds and raising environmental awareness among youth. Participants also had the opportunity to distribute feed to several wildlife species.
For reference: this year’s World Wildlife Day theme is “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Preserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods.” The theme highlights the essential role of wild plants in medicine, culture and daily life, as well as the pressures they face from habitat loss, overharvesting and climate change.
