National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for expanding information cooperation, promoting Uzbekistan’s environmental agenda at the international level, and implementing joint media projects aimed at highlighting reforms in environmental protection and climate change mitigation.

Particular attention was given to advancing the country’s green transformation, conserving biodiversity, and engaging the international community in Uzbekistan’s initiatives within the framework of the global climate agenda.

In recognition of his contribution to raising awareness of environmental initiatives and fostering international partnership, Aziz Abdukhakimov presented Pedro Vargas David with the “Tabiat Himoyachisi” (“Defender of Nature”) badge.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a tour of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change was organized for the foreign delegation. The guests were introduced to the activities of subordinate organizations and were shown the operations of the Situation Center, where environmental monitoring and coordination of response measures are carried out.
