Wolves Play a Key Role in Maintaining Ecological Balance

The wolf is one of the most important apex predators in the wild, inhabiting forests, steppes, mountainous areas and desert landscapes. Highly intelligent and physically resilient, wolves typically hunt in coordinated packs, which enables them to pursue and capture even large ungulates. By preying primarily on sick or weakened animals, they help regulate populations and maintain the natural ecological balance.
Exceptional senses of smell and hearing, combined with remarkable endurance over long distances, make the wolf one of the most well-adapted predators in nature. As a vital component of the ecosystem, the species contributes to the stability and health of wildlife populations. According to last year’s survey, 34 wolves have been recorded within the territory of "Yukori Tupalang" National Nature Park.
For reference: "Yukori Tupalang" National Nature Park was established on 4 March 2022 in Sariosiyo District of Surkhandarya Region.
