The event was attended by Sabine Machl, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Lola Rakhmanbaeva, Advisor to the Minister of Ecology on Information Policy, Nodira Courjeau, Ambassador of Global Wellness Day, Ravshankhon Juraev, Director of UzReport TV channel, Sanjar Salikhov, Director of Green Hills Resort, eco-activists, sports enthusiasts, media representatives, etc.
This year's theme is #MagentaNature, which focuses on the deep connection between humanity and the natural world, promoting an integrated approach to spiritual and physical well-being. Yoga and Pilates classes, as well as tree hugging, were organised as part of the event. The participants had the opportunity to enjoy their favourite activities surrounded by nature, fresh air, and beautiful landscapes. In addition, the list of events included nutrition assessment, meditation with a Tibetan singing bowl, nail standing, healthy lifestyle workshops for adults and children, games, and an eco-quiz.
"Global Wellness Day", celebrated on the second Saturday of June, is designed to draw public attention to the importance of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Under the motto "One day can change your whole life", the event encourages people around the world to adopt positive habits and take care of their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. In 2023, Uzbekistan joined this global wellness movement. This year, the second celebration of "Gloval Wellness Day" was celebrated in the recreation area of Green Hills Resort, located in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change and the Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan were the general partners of the holiday.
