National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The awards were presented by Minister of Ecology Aziz Abdukhakimov on the occasion of the most important environmental date – World Environment Day. 

"Today I would like to emphasize that we must not forget our duty to nature, preserve it, and pass it on to future generations in the best condition. Therefore, in our country, special attention is paid to improving the environmental culture of the population, especially young people. We will also consistently continue to strengthen public control and train highly qualified personnel", said A. Abdukhakimov. 
"On this significant day, I would like to express my gratitude to environmentalists, inspectors, hydrometeorologists, foresters, enthusiastic scientists, and industry specialists who selflessly work for the benefit of the development of New Uzbekistan and the well–being of the entire people", added the minister.

A total of 200 people were awarded badges, including representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Ecology and its regional divisions, the Forestry Agency, the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region, the Republican Center for the Organization of Sanitary Cleaning, Protected Natural Areas countries, international organizations, higher education institutions, and other organizations directly affecting the preservation of the environment.
