National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to implement joint projects to combat desertification and land degradation, prevent climate change and air pollution. Negotiations have also begun on the opening of a branch of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Uzbekistan.

At the same time, during the negotiations, the prospects of internships for students of the Central Asian University of Environmental Studies and Climate Change “Green University” at the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences were discussed, and an agreement was reached to hold summer schools and implement joint projects in the field of information technology implementation in environmental issues.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation got acquainted with the activities of the GIS Center of the Scientific Research Institute of the Environment and Nature Protectionl Technologies and highly appreciated the technological approach and the use of drones in solving environmental issues.
