Illegal Extraction of Sand and Gravel Mixture Identified in Samarkand Region

A routine inspection was conducted by the Samarkand Regional Department of Ecology and Climate Change in cooperation with the Taylak District Department of Internal Affairs.
During the inspection, it was established that citizen F. Zh., a resident of the “Gulba” mahalla in Taylak District, was illegally extracting a sand and gravel mixture from the “Dargom” Canal, which flows through the territory of the district. The illegal activity was carried out using a Volvo excavator and a KamAZ truck.
In connection with this violation, administrative measures were applied against the citizen in accordance with the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. A fine was imposed, and the amount of damage caused to natural resources was calculated at 158 million 100 thousand sums.
The vehicles involved have been temporarily placed in an impound lot.
