Uzbekistan and China to develop a roadmap for cooperation in the field of environmental protection

The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jusipbek Kazbekov and Vice Minister of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China Yu Huiwen.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations noted mutual interest in developing bilateral cooperation in the environmental field. At the same time, information was provided on ongoing work in ecology and environmental protection, as well as an exchange of views on policy issues in this area. The parties highly appreciated the achievements and experience of the countries in ensuring environmentally sustainable development and other areas.
During the meeting, priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the fields of prevention and control of atmospheric air pollution, conservation of biological diversity, combating climate change, and waste management were considered and identified.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on developing a roadmap for implementing an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental protection, and the importance of creating an Uzbek-Chinese working group for its effective implementation was emphasized.
At the same time, responsible persons were identified for coordinating the creation of the Uzbek-Chinese working group on cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
