A seminar has been arranged in Tashkent to address the climate agenda.

Within the framework of the three-day course program, the results and central topics of the last UN Climate Change Conference (COP28), climate and sustainable finance issues, instruments for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable development goals, the main provisions of the Paris Agreement, as well as indicators of progress in the field of sustainable development, will be considered.
"This event is of great interest to teachers and specialists of Green University since not only issues of the current environmental situation are discussed here, but also training by leading Russian experts on such topics as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, climate, sustainable finance issues, etc. are presented. Also here, we will separately consider the National Report on Sustainable Development using the example of Uzbekistan", said Jasur Salikhov, Rector of the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies at Green University.
The seminar was organized by the Tashkent branch of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in cooperation with the United Nations Research Institute (UNITAR) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
"Today's event is a very good chance to share experiences with our colleagues. We are very interested in the approaches of the Uzbek side in the field of sustainable climate development. We want the voices of Uzbekistan and Central Asia to be heard in international negotiations, as our positions are very close. And this is a great opportunity to share and hear, first of all, from our Uzbek colleagues, what we can bring together to the international community", said Vladimir Uskov, Head of the Department of Climate and Environmental Issues of Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The courses are applied and innovative and cover various aspects of activities in the field of multilateral diplomacy and international cooperation, leading Russian and foreign experts are invited to teach them.
