Clean Air Month: 147.2 tons of pollutants were prevented from being released into the atmosphere

During the event, an environmental survey of 205 thousand 184 vehicles was conducted, in 4143 of which it was found that the content of pollutants in exhaust gases exceeds the established norms.
In turn, the Traffic Safety Service employees took the necessary measures against 1,482 drivers of motor vehicles who violated the established norms of state standards for the content of pollutants in exhaust gases in the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
In addition, cars in operation at traffic police facilities, on the streets, and at the entrances/exits of car factories were checked. As a result, vehicles that emit harmful substances into the atmosphere beyond the norm have been temporarily stopped and are subject to repair. As a result, it was possible to prevent the release of 147.2 tons of pollutants into the atmosphere.
For information: Clean Air Month is implemented to meet the requirements of articles 16, 17, and 28 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Pro\tection of Atmospheric Air" and article 11 of the Law "On Environmental Control". The event's second stage in 2024 will be held from August 10 to September 10 (in Tashkent from September 10 to October 10).
