This year, Uzbekistan, along with 40 countries of the world, will participate in the competition for the second time. The republican stage was organized by a group of Uzbek-speaking Wikimedians together with members of the Russian "Wikiguide" community with the support of the Wikimedia Foundation and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.

The competition will be held in two categories: landscapes and macrophotographs (animals, plants, and mushrooms). Up to 10 winners will be selected locally. After that, the international jury will select up to 20 photos, no more than 10 in each category. At the international level, no more than two photos of each author will be selected to enter the TOP 20.
