IT-ekofest–2024: projects aimed at improving the environment are presented

The event was organized to implement the Protocol of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 8 "On the organization and holding of the International IT-ekofest-2024 Festival" dated May 2, 2024, and is aimed at widely promoting innovations and technologies in the field of ecology and sustainable development among young people, supporting ideas and projects aimed at solving environmental problems.
On May 4, the event's opening ceremony took place at the IT Academy "Astrum" in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region. On the first day of the festival, lectures and trainings aimed at improving the environment and a hackathon of IT projects on the topic "How can modern technologies help the environment?" were organized. In total, 25 teams presented their projects. During the presentation, the jury was very interested in the "Green World" and "Green Payments" systems aimed at landscaping residential areas, as well as the Eko-service system, which assesses environmental damage.
The festival continued on May 5 in the Central Park of Tashkent named after Mirzo Ulugbek. On the event's second day, exhibitions of artisans and paintings by artists, products made of discarded materials, sports competitions, a fair of local eco-brands, and environmental workshops for children and adults were organized.
Following the results of the international festival, the participants whose projects were recognized as the best were noted. In the list of winners:
3rd place — Dinora Asamedova for the Mill project;
2nd place — Ozodbek Khoshimov for the project "Anonymous";
1st place — Sherzodbek Umaraliev for the "Camu_tech"
project.
At the end of the event, an award ceremony and a concert program were held.
