Over 100 Air-Pollution Violations Identified in Samarkand Region

From 1 to 10 December, working groups composed of representatives of relevant organizations and agencies, and led by First Deputy Minister of Ecology Obidjon Kudratov, conducted a series of inspection raids in the Samarkand region. Measures are being taken in accordance with current legislation in response to the environmental violations identified.
The primary objective of these activities is to prevent air pollution, reduce negative environmental impacts and ensure favorable living conditions for the population.
During the inspections carried out in the Samarkand region, 101 violations were detected. As a result, fines totaling 161 916 000 sums were imposed under various articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility .
Environmental monitoring activities are ongoing.
