During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing current cooperation in the fields of tourism and product certification.

In particular, the guests welcomed Uzbekistan's initiative to ease visa procedures between the countries and noted their willingness to cooperate in this area.

The foreign side also stressed the importance of establishing direct flights to maintain the tourist flow and suggested considering the issue of attracting the Omani low-cost airline Salam Air as a possible solution to the issue.

At the same time, the cities of Oman were proposed as an intermediate link in pilgrimage tourism by citizens of Uzbekistan.

An agreement was reached to organize a round table between the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Uzbekistan and private airlines to open direct flights, as well as a bilateral meeting between the Chairman of the Tourism Committee and the CEO of the Uzbek-Omani Investment Company.

In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of creating a pavilion for Uzbekistan within the framework of the international exhibition in Oman, which will be held in the second half of 2024, where technical achievements of Uzbekistan, agricultural products, the furniture industry, transport, and tourism will be presented.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue close cooperation within the framework of the agreements reached.
