Climate change is a global challenge that affects everyone. Preserving the climate and the environment is our shared responsibility. According to international research, the average global temperature has risen by more than 1°C over the past century, leading to extreme weather events, glacier melt, desertification and threats to biodiversity.
Uzbekistan is actively responding to these challenges. The country is implementing measures for climate change adaptation, improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and protecting water resources. Large-scale reforestation initiatives and sustainable agricultural practices are helping to mitigate climate risks for both people and nature.
World Climate Protection Day is a reminder to all of us of the importance of responsible attitudes toward nature. Every citizen can contribute by saving resources, sorting waste and supporting environmental initiatives.
