Crackdown on illegal lime kiln operations

The inspection took place in the Khakan Industrial Zone of the Andijan District following public reports about unpleasant odors and harmful atmospheric emissions linked to lime production.
The raid identified individuals who had unlawfully occupied land plots and were operating lime-burning activities without the required cadastral documentation. More than 15 illegal lime kilns were dismantled as part of the operation.
The individuals involved were formally cautioned about the inadmissibility of such actions and reminded of the obligation to conduct entrepreneurial activities strictly in accordance with the law and without causing environmental harm. It was further underlined that legislation provides for stringent liability measures for such violations.
Inspection efforts remain ongoing.
