Young environmentalists plant trees at the park of Astronomy

An environmental tree-planting campaign was held at the park of Astronomy under the Green University, bringing together students from Tashkent schools, staff of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the Zamin Foundation.
Participants planted new trees and shrubs and took care of the seedlings planted earlier in the spring. The campaign continues an ongoing initiative aimed at landscaping and greening the park, fostering environmental awareness and developing sustainable “green” spaces in Uzbekistan.
In addition, the participants were introduced to Tashkent’s digital registry of green spaces — a system that enables the accounting and monitoring of the city’s trees.
The park’s greening initiative contributes to maintaining the ecological balance of the capital and creating a comfortable urban environment for residents and visitors of Tashkent.
