Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The meeting was attended by senators, experts, and representatives of relevant ministries, as well as specialists from the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology.

The draft law proposes amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, defining the tasks of the Inspection for Supervision in the Field of Mining Industry and Geology under the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology to ensure the rational use of natural resources.

During the meeting, participants discussed changes to the Code of Administrative Responsibility providing for clear measures against violations of the rules and limits of groundwater use by individuals and legal entities, unauthorised water extraction without metering devices, and illegal drilling of wells into underground aquifers.
