State Commission on Mineral Reserves
In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 1, 2018 No. PP-3578 "On measures to radically improve the activities of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Geology and Mineral Resources", the State Commission on Mineral Reserves was abolished
under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and formed the State Commission on Mineral Reserves under the State Committee for Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved its composition.
The main tasks of the State Commission on Mineral Reserves under the State Committee for Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter - GKZ) have been determined:
- approval of standards for reliable calculation of mineral reserves that meet the requirements of the most complete and comprehensive development of deposits on a rational economic and environmental basis;
- approval of reserves of all types of minerals that ensure the development of the mineral resource base of the republic;
- Conducting the State Expertise of Geological Materials;
- pursuing a unified policy in the field of establishing optimal principles for the classification and calculation of mineral reserves, their geological and economic assessment and determination of industrial value.
Within the framework of the main tasks assigned by the State Reserves Committee, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated May 23, 2018 No. 388 approved the Regulation on the State Commission on Mineral Reserves under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources. The working body of the GKZ determined the department for mineral reserves of the State Committee for Geology.
For the full-fledged functioning of the GKZ, protocol No. 1 dated May 28, 2018 approved the documents regulating the acceptance, consideration and examination of incoming geological materials:
Regulations on the amount and procedure for charging payment for the consideration of geological materials submitted to the State Commission on Mineral Reserves under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Geology
and mineral resources;
Regulation on the procedure for the examination of geological materials submitted to the State Commission on Mineral Reserves under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Geology and Mineral Resources;
In addition, the composition of the GKZ experts from among highly qualified specialists from various organizations was approved, formed taking into account the proposals
of 59 specialists, including 30 in solid minerals, 13 in oil and gas, and 16 in hydrogeology and engineering geology.
Over the past period of 2019, it was reviewed and approved GKZ - 287 reports, including: on gold deposits - 8, on uranium deposits - 1, on hydrocarbon deposits - 7; groundwater - 12, for deposits of building stone - 27, for deposits of cement raw materials - 29, for deposits of sand and gravel mixtures - 126, for deposits of brick raw materials - 29, for deposits of mineral salts - 6 reports; other - 35.
In 2020 (by 01/09/2020), it was reviewed and approved GKZ - 153 reports, including: on gold deposits - 1; on copper deposits - 1; for deposits of building stone - 27, for deposits of cement raw materials - 13, for deposits of sand and gravel mixtures - 63, for deposits of brick raw materials - 29, for deposits of mineral salts - 1 reports; other - 18.
