Minister meets with Canadian Ambassador to Uzbekistan

On 20 February 2025, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology held a meeting with a delegation led by the newly appointed Canadian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Christopher Duggan.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Mining Industry and Geology B. Islamov, First Deputy Minister O. Nasritdinhodjaev, heads of departments and other officials.
The Minister and the Ambassador discussed the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan's mining and geology sector, the participation of representatives of the Ministry and its subordinate companies in the events of the International Mining Conference (PDAC), bilateral partnership relations and the activities of the Uzbek-Canadian Friendship Society.
