As part of the visit, geological studies were conducted at prospective uranium sites in Western Australia. The delegation also exchanged views on key issues related to the organisation and implementation of geological exploration activities.
As part of the International Uranium Conference 2026, the delegation familiarised itself with the results of pilot-scale operations at the Samphire uranium project in South Australia. The specialists received information on the stages of mineralisation, geological exploration activities and the main areas of preparation for uranium mining at the site.
On 7–8 October, the working group participated in the Global Uranium Conference 2026, held in Adelaide, bringing together representatives of more than 50 companies from the United States, Canada, Australia, Namibia, China, Argentina, India, Japan, the United Kingdom and other countries.
During the event, a presentation was delivered highlighting the achievements of Uzbekistan’s uranium industry, the production capacity of Navoiyuran State Enterprise, and opportunities for implementing prospective uranium mining projects in foreign countries.
The conference discussions placed particular emphasis on studying international best practices, strengthening professional ties and identifying promising areas for future cooperation.
