Meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and the World Bank

On 28 September, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan F. Khamidova and senior officials of the Ministry held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank delegation.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in the sustainable development of the mining and geology sectors, particularly on improving public policy, introducing advanced international standards, and developing value chains.
The parties also exchanged views on a project aimed at developing the national Women in Mining Uzbekistan platform, strengthening the professional and leadership capacity of women in the sector, and expanding their participation in technical and managerial positions.
