Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event brought together scientists and specialists from Uzbekistan, as well as around 40 representatives from 12 foreign countries. Discussions focused on technological modernisation, the introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the development of geology and the mining industry, improving resource efficiency, and strengthening cooperation between science, education, and industry.

At the end of the first day, a press conference was organised for media representatives with the participation of executives and specialists from NMMC and Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies. The participants answered journalists’ questions and highlighted the main outcomes and practical significance of the conference.

On the second day, participants visited the Muruntau open-pit mine and Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7, where they familiarised themselves with production processes and ongoing projects.
