Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Olympiad is organised by the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the representative office of Micromine Australia in Uzbekistan.

Over two days, participants will take a theoretical test and complete practical tasks involving geological exploration data, the creation of geological, wireframe and block models, as well as the estimation of gold grades within a block model.

The final stage will involve completing a comprehensive project, presenting the developed models and defending the work before the jury. The Olympiad will conclude with an awards ceremony for the winners.

MinGeoMod 2026 is aimed at developing practical geological modelling skills, mastering modern digital technologies, and promoting the exchange of experience among young professionals and students in the mining and geological sector.
