At the meeting, it was noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has implemented many projects aimed at rational use of water resources, maintenance of the state water cadastre, development of a unified information system on groundwater in Central Asia waterbase.uz and adaptation to climate change in the field of water resources protection.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ) to establish specific groundwater projects in the future and bring cooperation to a new level.
