Over three days, participants discussed a wide range of issues related to modern approaches to mineral exploration and the development of mineral resources. Across two parallel tracks, 22 scientific sessions were held, featuring 97 presentations and 8 poster presentations. Particular attention was given to the digital transformation of the industry, the application of artificial intelligence, the development of national geological databases, 3D modelling, modern geophysical technologies, and new approaches to the exploration of critical minerals.
The GEOMIN 2026 exhibition brought together 27 domestic and international companies and organisations. Participants presented modern technologies, equipment and software solutions for mineral exploration, geophysics, remote sensing, well logging, mineralogy, geological data digitalisation, artificial intelligence and the automation of production processes.
The conference programme also included bilateral meetings between the leadership of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and representatives of international companies and organisations. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation, attracting investment, introducing modern technologies and training specialists. A number of documents were signed during GEOMIN 2026 to advance cooperation in education, scientific research, digitalisation and technology transfer.
GEOMIN 2026 provided a platform for direct professional dialogue between government authorities, geological surveys, scientific and educational institutions, mining companies and technology businesses. The presentations and discussions enabled participants to exchange practical experience and consider further developments in mineral exploration through modern digital solutions and advanced research methods.
The main programme of GEOMIN 2026 has concluded. On 17 September, conference participants will take part in a field trip to facilities of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), where they will visit production sites and learn about the organisation of geological operations.
