Hydrogeological Studies Conducted under the State Programme Reviewed On-Site

In order to ensure the implementation of the “Work Schedule of the Working Group for Monitoring Activities Carried Out under Projects by Geological Exploration Organisations within the System of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology,” representatives of the departments responsible for hydrogeology, engineering geology and geoecology, technical coordination of geological works, and financing conducted an on-site review in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In particular, the current status of hydrogeological studies being carried out by the Aral Sea Field Hydrogeological Expedition of the Uzbekhydrogeology State Institution was reviewed. The studies are being conducted under projects implemented by the Western Aral, Aral, Northern Ustyurt and other hydrogeological groups.
A meeting was also held with representatives of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, during which a number of proposals and initiatives aimed at the further development of Muynak District were put forward.
