The event was attended by M. Mirjalilov, Senior Lieutenant and representative of the Cybercrime Department of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs, who delivered a presentation entitled “Application of Effective Methods and Tools for Protection Against Modern Cyber Threats.”

In particular, he provided information on cybercrimes in which fraudsters exploit citizens’ trust to obtain money and personal data through phone calls, fake applications, online shopping, investment and trading platforms, as well as fraudulent job offers.

During the presentation, the specialist urged participants not to open unknown links received via messaging apps, never to share verification codes, passwords or bank card details, and to download applications only from official sources. He also answered participants’ questions on the topic.
