Seminar on “Sustainable Development of Uzbekistan’s Mining Industry” Held in China

From 5 to 18 August, a seminar entitled “Sustainable Development of Uzbekistan’s Mining Industry” was held in Beijing and Xi’an, China. It brought together representatives of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and its subordinate organisations working in the areas of strategic development and transformation.
During the seminar, participants studied China’s advanced experience in the development of geology and the mining industry, the rational use of mineral resources, the implementation of ESG principles, environmental monitoring, and the digitalisation of geological processes.
In addition, while in Xi’an, the participants familiarised themselves with the Geosite system, designed to digitalise geological exploration processes, as well as the practical experience of major industrial enterprises in sustainable development.
