Meeting with Representatives of ITOCHU, JOGMEC and Japan’s METI

A meeting was held between officials of the Ministry, led by First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology F. Khamidova, and representatives of ITOCHU, JOGMEC, as well as Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
During the meeting, the guests emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as the need to further develop cooperation with the Japanese side in the fields of geology and the mining and metallurgical industry.
Ministry officials expressed their readiness to engage ITOCHU, JOGMEC and other Japanese companies in the development of promising sites in Uzbekistan and investment in these projects. They also reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary support and assistance in this area.
