Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event brought together members of parliament, responsible officials from relevant ministries and agencies, a representative of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, members of the Youth Parliament, scientists, experts, and representatives of the media.

During the open dialogue, it was emphasized that in recent years, extensive efforts have been undertaken in Uzbekistan to ensure a stable supply of clean drinking water to the population, further develop wastewater systems, promote the rational and efficient use of water resources, and widely introduce modern water-saving technologies.

Industry specialists paid particular attention to the reconstruction of existing wastewater treatment facilities and the construction of new ones, the introduction of energy-efficient technologies, as well as the expansion of mechanisms for reusing treated wastewater for technical purposes and in certain sectors of the economy.

The widespread introduction of water-saving technologies in water management, accurate accounting of water resources, groundwater protection, the digitalization of water consumption, and the reduction of losses in water networks were also identified as priority areas.
