Preparations for the Autumn-Winter Period Discussed at Kamchik Pass

A meeting was held with the participation of specialists from the State Geological Monitoring Service of the Uzbekhydrogeology State Institution and relevant organisations of the State System for Prevention and Response to Emergency Situations. The meeting focused on ensuring safe conditions at Kamchik Pass during the 2026–2027 autumn-winter period, maintaining the stable operation of road infrastructure facilities, and preventing emergency situations.
During the meeting, participants reviewed preparations for the autumn-winter period along sections of the A-373 Tashkent–Osh highway and the electrified Angren–Pap railway line passing through Kamchik Pass.
The readiness of personnel and technical resources was also assessed, and sections of the pass exposed to hazardous geological processes were identified. The responsible agencies were tasked with taking appropriate measures in these areas.
