Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event, hosted at the University of Geological Sciences, brought together representatives of the Ministry, specialized scientific and educational institutions, as well as experts from the country's leading mining and geological enterprises.

The seminar focused on the implementation of the National Qualifications System, the updating of occupational and qualification requirements, the improvement of education, retraining and professional development programmes, as well as the expansion of dual education and stronger cooperation between enterprises and educational institutions.

Special attention was given to the retraining and professional development of middle managers, the assessment of their professional competencies, the establishment of a talent pool, and the creation of training grounds, educational and production facilities, and laboratories at enterprises to strengthen students' practical training.

Following the seminar, participants outlined further priorities for improving the personnel training system, expanding practice-oriented education, and developing a sustainable talent pool for the mining and geological industries.
