Uzbekistan and Kuwait Discuss Prospects for Cooperation in the Mining Industry

On 30 July, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan F. Khamidova held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrad.
During the meeting, information was presented on the Ministry's key areas of activity, Uzbekistan's mineral resource potential, ongoing geological exploration programmes, and investment projects being implemented in the mining industry.
The parties discussed opportunities to expand exports of products manufactured in Uzbekistan to the Kuwaiti market, strengthen trade and economic cooperation, and encourage Kuwaiti companies to participate in projects related to geological exploration, mineral extraction, and the deep processing of mineral resources.
