Meeting Held with a Delegation from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

On 29 July 2026, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan F. Khamidova held a meeting with a delegation from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the mineral resources sector, including the development of resilient supply chains for critical minerals and the expansion of investment cooperation.
The First Deputy Minister briefed the Japanese delegation on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan's mining and geology sector and the favourable conditions created for foreign investors. The representatives of the Japanese delegation expressed their interest in further exploring the opportunities presented and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
