Drilling operations are one of the key stages of the mining process, and increasing production volumes require the use of modern, high-performance equipment.

In 2025, a total of 3.7 million metres of drilling was completed at the Muruntau Mine. By the end of this year, this figure is expected to exceed 7.8 million metres. This will ensure the timely execution of mining operations in the northern, southern and eastern sections of the deposit, while also increasing the volume of rock mass extracted.
The existing drilling fleet is currently being gradually replaced with modern drilling rigs. These advanced units offer higher productivity and are capable of drilling an average of up to 500 metres per day.
