Digital Transformation Priorities Discussed at the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology

The meeting reviewed key issues related to the sector’s digital transformation, including the implementation of advanced digital solutions and artificial intelligence technologies at subordinate enterprises. Particular attention was given to the digitalization of production and management processes, the enhancement of geological data management, and the implementation of projects aimed at improving the efficiency of geological exploration.
Opening the meeting, B. Islamov emphasized that the successful digital transformation of the sector requires coordinated efforts by all enterprises and organizations within the Ministry’s system, the adoption of modern management approaches, and the active use of digital technologies.
During the meeting, information was presented on the establishment of the Ministry’s new Digital Transformation Center. O. Fayzullayev was appointed as the Head of the Center, serving with the status of Deputy Minister. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy Director for Digitalization at Copper Concentrator No. 3 of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine JSC (AMMC).
It was noted that the Center’s primary responsibilities will include coordinating digital transformation projects across the sector, introducing advanced information technologies, developing digital infrastructure, and promoting the application of artificial intelligence in production and management processes.
Following the discussion, priority areas for further work were identified, and relevant instructions were issued to ensure the timely implementation of the tasks assigned to the Ministry.
