Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the mining sector, Uzbekistan’s investment opportunities, as well as the conditions for implementing projects in geological exploration and subsoil use.

F. Khamidova noted the strong interest of Chinese businesses in participating in mining projects in Uzbekistan. The participants were also briefed on the current mechanisms for obtaining subsoil use rights, which are based on the principles of openness and transparency.

The Chinese delegation expressed its readiness to participate in promising projects and to apply its technologies and practical expertise. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue developing the discussed areas of cooperation and to exchange concrete proposals.
