Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Opening the seminar, R. Yusupov spoke about the work being carried out by the Ministry and its subordinate organisations to prevent corruption. He highlighted the development of the internal anti-corruption control system, the implementation of international standards, the improvement of mechanisms for preventing conflicts of interest, as well as measures to enhance the effectiveness of preventive work and the consideration of citizens’ appeals.

Professor of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Sh. Kobilov, delivered a presentation on modern mechanisms for combating corruption, the legal foundations of anti-corruption policy, liability for corruption-related offences, and recent legislative amendments. At the conclusion of the seminar, the participants exchanged views and discussed further measures to strengthen the principles of legality and transparency in the activities of the sector.
