Prospects for Cooperation with Italy Discussed

On 16 July, the Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B. Islamov, held a meeting with Guido De Sanctis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Italian cooperation in the mining industry and geology. Particular attention was given to cooperation in metallurgy, the hydrocarbons sector, as well as the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects with the University of Pisa.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue cooperation on the implementation of joint projects, the engagement of leading Italian companies, and the further development of bilateral partnership in geological exploration, mining, and mineral processing.
