During his presentation, it was noted that consistent measures are being implemented to digitalise subsoil use processes, introduce artificial intelligence technologies, strengthen environmental and industrial safety, reclaim disturbed lands, and prevent corruption. The Geomonitoring information system has been established to provide digital registration of more than 2,000 mineral resource sites. The issuance of licences and permits has been transferred to an electronic format. Digital monitoring mechanisms aimed at increasing the transparency of processes in the mining industry and geology sector continue to be introduced.

Particular attention is being paid to the restoration of disturbed lands. In 2025, land reclamation was carried out on 2,085 hectares, while a further 340.8 hectares were restored during the first half of 2026. By the end of the current year, at least 1,000 hectares are planned to be reclaimed. At the same time, the system for accounting of water use and control over the use of groundwater resources continues to be improved.
