Hydrogeological Surveys Underway in Akhangaran for a Major Industrial Project

Strategically important hydrogeological studies are being carried out at a groundwater deposit in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. Under an agreement between the State Institution “Uzbekhydrogeology” and UZCOPPER LLC, large-scale surveys are being conducted to ensure the sustainable supply of technical water for Copper Processing Plant No. 6 (CPP-6).
The first key stage of the project — route field observations — has been successfully completed. At present, work is continuing in phases across the area, including groundwater prospecting, complex geophysical surveys, and the drilling of specialised wells.
These studies are of significant importance for further enhancing the industrial potential of the region, ensuring a sustainable water supply for new production capacities, and supporting the uninterrupted operation of major industrial projects.
