The official opening ceremony was attended by the management of JSC AMMC, responsible officials of the ministry, the combine’s foreign partners, representatives of the Almalyk city khokimiyat, labour veterans and members of the public.
During the event, a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, officially marking the launch of the plant. Speakers noted that the implementation of this project would contribute to strengthening the country’s gold reserves through the efficient use of the local raw material base and the systematic increase of gold production volumes.
The new plant will process ore extracted from the “Kovuldi” and “Quyi Kenzhasoy” deposits. Its processing capacity is up to 200,000 tonnes of ore per year. The implementation of the second phase of the project is also planned. As a result of the plant’s commissioning, 151 new jobs have been created.
