The State Institution “Uzbekhydrogeology” under the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology is conducting monitoring of hazardous exogenous geological processes at 732 sites located in the mountainous and foothill regions of the republic under the “High Readiness” operating regime.

According to the monitoring results, a total of 55 hazardous exogenous geological processes have been recorded across the republic, including 27 landslides, 5 rockfalls, 8 landslide cracks, and 15 other processes.
In order to ensure public safety in risk zones, temporarily relocate households to safe areas during the rainy season, as well as prevent landslide hazards and implement protective measures at facilities of significant economic and other importance, relevant instructions were issued. As a result, potential emergency situations were prevented. Work in this direction is ongoing.
