Transformation at Uzbekcoal JSC: Digitalisation of Procurement and Implementation of ESG Principles

The analysis covered the company’s activities for the period from 2021 to 2024. During the process, the procurement system, internal control functions, documentation procedures and the state of information technologies were examined. An assessment was also carried out to evaluate compliance of all processes with applicable legislation, as well as the effectiveness of management and control systems.
Based on the results of the review, specific recommendations and action plans were developed for Uzbekcoal JSC. These include full digitalisation of procurement processes, integration of all data into a single system, strengthening of internal control and compliance systems, as well as improving the transparency and efficiency of procurement.
In addition, work is ongoing to implement international ESG principles (Environmental, Social and Governance) within Uzbekcoal JSC.
