Employees of the Ministry took part in the International Tashkent Marathon 2026

On 5 April this year, the traditional international marathon “International Tashkent Marathon 2026” was held in the city of Tashkent in honour of the nationwide Navruz holiday.
Employees of the central office of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology also took part in the 5 km race, organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan.
The marathon started from the Humo Arena complex and ran along the central streets of the capital. Around 15,000 participants from more than 50 countries took part in the event.
The Tashkent International Marathon holds the “World Athletics Label” status, awarded by World Athletics, and the results recorded within the event are officially recognised at the international level.
