At the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and its subordinate organisations, including Uzbek Geological Exploration JSC and the State Institution “Subsoil Use Centre”, the nationwide spring holiday of Navruz is being celebrated in a festive spirit. Employees of the ministry and organisations within the system actively participated.
The programme combined national traditions with modern organisation, featuring karnay and surnay performances, cultural shows by folklore and dance groups, and traditional treats such as sumalak and nisholda.
The event also included national games and competitions, including tug-of-war, stone lifting and the lyanga game, with winners receiving commemorative gifts.
