Meeting with the Ambassador of Canada to Uzbekistan

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology between the First Deputy Minister, F. Khamidova, and the Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Christopher Duggan.
The guests were provided with detailed information on key reforms in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological sector. Particular attention was paid to the new edition of the Law “On Subsoil”, the introduction of transparent mechanisms for granting subsoil use rights, as well as the integration of ESG principles into the activities of industrial complexes.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of interaction in the field of mining industry and geology.
