Issues of cooperation with the Tax Committee to counter the shadow economy in the mining and geology sector were discussed

During the meeting, participants reviewed the alignment of extraction volumes identified through satellite monitoring with the reports submitted by subsoil users, as well as the integration of this data into the Tax Committee’s information systems.
In addition, views were exchanged on organising joint inspections to identify cases of illegal mining or incomplete reporting of extracted volumes, introducing permanent monitoring measures, and preventing conflicts of interest through the early identification of affiliated parties in public procurement procedures.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to ensure prompt data exchange by integrating the Geomonitoring electronic information system of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology with the Tax Committee’s electronic databases, and to continue cooperation in this area in a consistent and systematic manner.
